Biografía

Mela is an award winning actress from Poughkeepsie, New York known for Men in Black 3 (2012), Hits (2014), and The Sisterhood of Night (2014). She started acting in stage productions at the age of eight when she was cast as the lead in her elementary school's play, and she continued to act on stage all through-out high school, and college.   Progressing to motion picture, she then studied acting at Dutchess Community College where she focused her skill in multiple student films. In 2009 she was introduced to the New York Talent Club where she started to obtain professional on-set experience working in independent films, TV commercials, music videos, and foreign films that were being shot locally. She has trained professionally at the John Pallotta Studio of Acting, and Jordan Bayne's Permission Playground in New York City.   Mela is also an avid producer, and screenwriter. She made her producer debut in 2013 for such films as Presence, which won video of the week on Awardeo.tv, and Resident Evil: Red Falls, which was highly recognized by CAPCOM and the Resident Evil franchise. She has also modeled on the east coast. In 2012, Mela won a People’s Choice Award from the PMAC (Professional Models and Actors Consolidated) at the Mykel Coleman Studios out of 75 nominees nation-wide. Since then, she was nominated for a Shorty Award, and took home Best Supporting Broad at the 2015 Broad Humor Film Festival.
