George Dewey Cukor (n. Nueva York; 7 de julio de 1899 – f. Los Ángeles, California; 23 de enero de 1983). Director de cine estadounidense. Se lo ha etiquetado como director de actrices, pues supuestamente supo arrancar sus mejores interpretaciones a las actrices que trabajaron con él.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia George Dewey Cukor  was an American film director. He mainly concentrated on comedies and literary adaptations. His career flourished at RKO and later MGM, where he directed What Price Hollywood? (1932), A Bill of Divorcement (1932), Dinner at Eight (1933), Little Women (1933), David Copperfield (1935), Romeo and Juliet (1936) and Camille (1936). He was replaced as the director of Gone with the Wind (1939), but he went on to direct The Philadelphia Story (1940), Adam's Rib (1949), Born Yesterday (1950), A Star Is Born (1954) and My Fair Lady (1964).
